The sun has finally come out in Denver and it's time to spend some time enjoying the beautiful scenery the rain has provided. Camping can be a great opportunity to enjoy some refreshing cocktails in the great outdoors. Here are a few camping-friendly cocktail ideas to make camping even better!
Campfire S'mores Cocktail
Ingredients:
2 oz Red Rocks Vodka
1 oz Chocolate sauce/syrup
1 oz Cream or Milk
Agave to Taste
Graham Cracker Crumbs
Toasted Marshmallows
Directions:
Rim a glass with graham cracker crumbs.
In a shaker, combine the Red Rocks Vodka, Chocolate sauce, agave, and cream/milk with ice.
Shake well and strain into the rimmed glass.
Garnish with a toasted marshmallow.
Mosquito Mojito
Ingredients:
2 oz Red Rocks Vodka
1 oz Lime Juice
1 tbsp Sugar
Fresh Mint Leaves
Sprite, Seltzer water, or Soda Water
Directions:
In a camping cup or glass, muddle the mint leaves, lime juice, and sugar.
Add ice and Red Rocks Vodka, then stir to combine.
Top with Sprite, seltzer water, or soda water and garnish with a sprig of mint.
Campfire Coffee Cocktail
Ingredients:
2 oz Red Rocks Vodka
1 ½ oz Coffee Liqueur (e.g., Kahlua)
1 oz Cream or Milk
Ice
Directions:
Fill a camping mug with ice.
Add the Red Rocks Vodka, coffee liqueur, and cream/milk.
Stir well and enjoy the coffee-infused cocktail.
Campsite Sangria
Ingredients:
1 bottle Red Wine
8 oz Red Rocks Vodka
1 cup Orange Juice
Assorted Fruit (e.g., oranges, berries, apples)
Gingerale to taste
Directions:
In a camping jug or container, combine the wine, Red Rocks Vodka, and orange juice.
Add the chopped fruit and stir gently.
Let the flavors meld for at least 1 hour, or overnight in a cooler.
Serve cold, and if desired, top with gingerale.
Pineapple Cooler
Ingredients:
2 oz Red Rocks Vodka
4 oz Pineapple Juice
1 oz Lime Juice
Agave to taste
Ice
Pineapple Wedge (for garnish)
Directions:
In a camping tumbler or cup, combine the Red Rocks Vodka, pineapple juice, agave and lime juice.
Add ice and stir well to chill.
Garnish with a pineapple wedge and enjoy the tropical flavors.
